The surface and shape of some capacitors look similar, but their essence is completely different. Take the safety capacitance and ordinary capacitance as examples to illustrate the difference between safety capacitance and ordinary capacitance.
The safety capacitance is mainly x capacitance and Y capacitance.
In order to suppress the differential mode interference, X capacitor is usually bridged between L and n (n represents the zero line, l represents the live wire), and the common ones are X1 capacitor and X2 capacitor. The withstand voltage of each grade is different. Failure will not cause harm to human body.
Safety y-capacitor is divided into Y1 capacitor and Y2 capacitor. In order to suppress common mode interference, y-capacitor is the capacitance of safety regulation series. The capacitance connected in parallel between live wire and ground wire and between neutral line and ground wire is collectively referred to as y capacitance. There will be leakage current.
Safety capacitor is mainly used for power supply of electronic instruments and electronic equipment, applied to switches, contacts and other parts of spark discharge, can absorb pulse interference and reduce electromagnetic interference.
Ordinary capacitors are widely used in all kinds of electronic equipment, differential motors, power tools, lighting lamps, air conditioners, refrigerators, washing machines and other household appliances and power systems.
For example, class X safety capacitors are generally installed in plastic cases. For ordinary CBB capacitors, most of them are encapsulated in epoxy resin.
Certification is different.
Ordinary CBB capacitors do not need any certification, but safety capacitors generally have to pass a lot of certification, such as CQC, VDE, UL, cul, etc., and the more certification, the better.
With the same capacity and voltage, safety capacitors are relatively expensive, because these capacitors have to spend a lot of certification fees every year, and the manufacturing process is also different.
Therefore, different types of capacitors have different functions, as long as we choose the appropriate capacitor according to the use needs.
